Helping People Experience and Share the Love of God...

Braden & Lindsey Etcheson

Our Story

Braden and Lindsey met in the summer of 2001 on the tour bus of a traveling Christian choir and drama troupe. Puppets! Skits! Khakis! Oh My! From that summer on, they’ve been pen pals, married with kids, and partners in ministry - So it’s getting pretty serious.

In 2020, they took a huge leap of faith and moved to Rutland, Vermont to start a new church based on a simple but powerful idea:

Love Your Neighbor as Yourself.

The Etchesons have four children, a cat and two pugs and are proud to call Rutland home.

CORE VALUES

Our values shape the teaching, culture and direction of Neighborhood Church.

LOVE WINS

We believe in the power of radical, unconditional love to transform lives, families and communities. The best way to experience this love is to share it. There’s always more to experience. And there’s always more to share.

…The Greatest of These is LOVE.

OUR TOWN IS OUR TEMPLE

The church is not a building. It’s the way we show up for one another. We want to be a city-wide portrait of the Love of God. We embrace creative ways to serve, connect, and make a difference - where we live, work and play.

…Outside the Box.

OUR FUTURE IS OUR PRESENT

We value the wisdom of the past and the hope of the future. The kids aren’t the future - They are the present! We will gladly give up the things we love to empower a future generation we love even more.

…Never Too Young to Change the World.

EVERYONE BELONGS

No matter where you’ve been or what you believe, you belong here. We love people when they least expect it - and when they least deserve it. We strive to create a community where all feel seen, heard and valued.

…There’s Always Room at the Table.

GIVING IS FREE

Freely we have received. We freely give. Every initiative, event and activity offered to our community is offered free of charge. We give freely - of our time, resources and kindness because we believe the best things in life are free.

…No Tithes. No Tip Jars. No Strings Attached.
